The lodge provides a trampoline, outdoor chess and children's play ground for the young and the young at heart. A bush putt and the 2 all weather tennis courts are floodlit at night. The Pilanesberg National Park and Sun City are the biggest nearby attractions and antitheses of each other. In Sun City you can enjoy the Valley of the Waves, play golf, tennis and squash or go on a horse riding tour. Visits at a crocodile farm are also an interesting opportunity for adventurous guests.
The Valley of the Waves is located in the heart of an ancient volcano. There, according to the legend, a great civilization arose. The peace-loving nomads from the north settled in this lush green valley, where they built their spectacular Palace, surrounded by abundantly flowing waters and beautiful gardens. But an earthquake destroyed their home and the people fled. Eventually, the Palace and its city became completely overgrown. Centuries later, a modern explorer stumbled upon this Lost City. The Palace was restored to its former glory, and re-opened in 1992 as part of the amazing Lost City development at Sun City.
Informative guided game walks are conducted in the Pilanesberg National Park. Morning and evening game drives focus on the identification of the numerous game and bird species such as the Big Five, nocturnal Brown Hyena, Hippo, Cheetah, Sable Antelope and Crocodile. At the lodge, a underground tunnel leads 130m to The Hide, which is a perfect vantage point for an intimate look into the wild.
